Wolt Israel brand development
Brand Design, Illustration, Motion Design

During 2022, I worked as the Israeli market Regional Brand designer for the global Wolt brand team based in Helsinki. During this time I was tasked to develop and localize Wolt’s brand language for the local Israeli market. This meant the implementation of Wolt’s 3D assets, localization of brand assets, and even the development of a Hebrew version of Wolt’s global font. To tackle all of this I cooperated with various professionals, including 3D artists, product designers, and typographers.

Mascot localization

The first and most important task ahead was the development and localization of Yuho - Wolt’s brand mascot. Yuho wasn’t in marketing use for Wolt Israel prior to 2022 and to make sure this cute blue reindeer would fit the Israeli market I created an ongoing set of Yuho poses and assets that are all connected to local occasions or situations. The creative process on each Yuho involved a concept and an illustration for the unique Yuho - following a process of modeling it in 3D by the brilliant 3D designers in Helsinki.

Marketing creative templates

Part of the job was to dive into the practices of different marketing uses. To answer the different needs of the marketing team I have created a variety of creative templates using the brand assets that can fit into any brief or need by the marketing team.

Local 3D assets

Another set of important assets done in 3D was a set of local Israeli dishes. These dishes were used in local deck templates, brochures, Posters, and other media forms.

In the process of the brand implementation I have also developed many local animated assets for use in the local app.

Hebrew type development

To further improve the local experience of the Wolt brand in Israel, the global brand experience team has commissioned a custom Hebrew font as part of the Wolt brand typeface - Omnes. Omnes HE was developed to combine the modern essence of Wolt’s brand while referencing 60’s and 70’s Hebrew typefaces. It was created by Darden Studio, creators of the original Latin Omnes font, and by the wonderful Israeli Fontef foundry, while collaborating with me to supervise and lead the brand consistency part of the project. The first three styles were officially ready by the end of 2022 and will begin brand, product, and marketing implementation through 2023.

These projects were created in collaboration with Wolt’s global brand experience team during the year 2022.
